The 2x3 product will sag somewhat in the middle as the support braces are installed farther away from each other. Optimal placement would be a third of the way in. Best installation would be to have a long piece of 1-by backing so the braces can be spreaded out at desired locations. If not, the stud locations will dictate where the braces go, and the spacing may or may not be uniform. Overall the product is a pass on the lower spectrum, but definitely not great.
