Works great on my 97 Silverado. Rods are a little fiddly to get right, but it works.

All i ended up using was the handle and tail gate cableslatche held tail gate out about a 1/4 inch and linkage rods and clips were very inferior.had to drill out holes for linkage in handle to use original linkage over again and source the clips the ones that came with kit are a joke

Threads on top 2 bolt holes on the Latch handle need to be deeper. Bolts will not tighten.
