When I unboxed this, I was thinking that this was not going to be as large as it looks and it is not going to be very strong. It is made out of what I would say looks like 1/2 inch plastic rebar. You then use cross pieces and other connectors to connect everything together. The pictures of people near this in the ad do not reflect what size this is. The size is a bit misleading as the posts should be sunk into the ground far enough to give it some stability which also reduces how high this will be. Not a big deal, but something to note. I would also suggest securing it down in multiple areas diagonally (with a small rope and tent stakes) as this will give you better wind/storm resistance. I am hoping that this will help make it a bit easier to grow and pick cucumbers, etc. this year. Seems like a solid product. I will update if anything changes during the growing season.

I purchased the Garden Cucumber Trellis for Raised Bed to provide support for my climbing plants, mainly cucumbers and squash, in my garden. The U-shaped design seemed like a great idea for maximizing space while giving my plants the vertical support they need. Overall, it’s a functional trellis with some great features, but there are a few downsides to consider before purchasing.First, the assembly process is tedious. The trellis comes with a lot of small parts, including multiple connectors and poles that need to be pieced together. While the instructions are clear, it does take time to put everything in place. The plastic connectors feel a bit flimsy, and I had to make sure they were properly aligned to keep everything stable. I do like that once assembled, it has a good height and width, making it ideal for cucumbers, beans, and other vining plants. In terms of stability, the trellis is decent but not the sturdiest. Some reviewers mentioned that it wobbles, and I can confirm that it doesn’t feel rock-solid, especially if you live in a windy area. I had to secure it with extra stakes to ensure it wouldn’t tip over. The metal poles are coated to prevent rust, which is great for longevity, but the plastic connectors might wear down over time. It works well for lighter plants like peas and beans, but I wouldn’t recommend it for heavier crops like large tomatoes or pumpkins without additional reinforcement. One thing I do appreciate is the included accessories, such as the garden net, twist ties, and clips. These extras help train plants to climb and keep them organized. The netting is lightweight, which is fine for smaller plants, but I would consider using a stronger net for heavier vines. The U-shape design does help maximize space in my raised beds, and I like that it provides good airflow and sunlight exposure to my plants.Overall, this trellis is a decent option for gardeners looking for a budget-friendly solution for climbing plants. It’s not the strongest or easiest to assemble, but with some extra anchoring and reinforcement, it can get the job done. If you need a light-duty trellis for cucumbers, peas, or beans, this will work, but for heavier plants or windy conditions, you may need a more durable option. I’ll see how it holds up through the season, but so far, it’s serving its purpose with a little extra effort.

We’ve tried a few trellis options and this is my favorite. It’s a good height in our raised bed and the polls are a nice distance to plant one cucumber plant at the base of each. It’s super easy to assembly and is nice and sturdy so will hold up when the cucumber plants explode and start filling every inch. We had a couple extra parts which is better than missing some. It also came with netting to place over for lots of climbing holds but we opted to use that on a different part of the garden for our peas as the cucumbers would be harder to access with more stuff in the way in my opinion. It also came with some cool clips that you can use to clip the plants to the base when they first start until they start climbing and holding on by themselves.Great product!
