Great product. Was replacement for identical that served 5 years on a busy charter boat, then lost by crew member 1 week before next charter. PROMPT shipping to US Virgin Islands. Arrived in time for charter! Better price than most competitors. Recommend with confidence to any needing dive ladder. Strong. Heavy duty weight rating. May ascend with fins on. Holds up under x4 day saltwater immersions with NO freshwater rinse.

Even though the quality of the steps are what I was looking for, they did not come with the non slip surface as stated in the description. Also, the box was a hybrid between two boxes.

Be careful, the ladder I received was not a garelick ladder, rather a west marine version, non of the hardware to mount is compatible and the ladder had to be returned for authentic product.

Perfect ladder for low profile boats. I have a 20' bass boat and love it! Learned by error, after error, after error. The ladder is not visible from boat deck while in use. Use a swim flag EVERY TIME you set this ladder in the water. When moving on from a swim or pause after skiing it is so easy to leave the ladder in the water. Use a flag as a visual reminder the ladder is down.

Major design flaw in locking pin. Some models still being sold have a known defect in the locking pin. A thin piece of soft metal was used to lock ladder in place while deployed. If ladder is used in shallow water such as the beach and hits the bottom the pin crushes making the ladder impossible to remove when you want to operate the boat. I had to use tools in the water to disassemble the bracket in order to remove ladder.Garelick was "kind" enough to sell me the new parts for 25% off retail, plus shipping plus a restocking fee if I needed to return it. It cost me just under $100 in parts to replace their poorly designed product. It arrived 10 days later from a 2-3 day UPS shipping zone. I purchased this ladder last season from a reputable boat/ fishing supply retail store. I did not install it until May 2014 and began using it in late June. It fail with in 60 days of operation.Garelick dropped the ball on the design and opportunity to make good. I've used a number of Garelick products over the years and will no longer. The ladder , not the mounting pin / bracket, is very good thus 2 stars. Huge safety problem and poor customer service.

Recently installed this on the stern of 21' Sea Cat CC. It has nice wide steps and appears to be a sturdy ladder. I had some difficulty finding SS bolts long enough to fit through the transom and mounting plates; eventually used 4" bolts but really needed 4.5". There is a separate bracket included to store the ladder when not in use, however, I didn't have a good place to mount this and used an under gunwale rod holder space instead.
