I bought this not realizing it was a reused one, the price difference in the new one was only like $6. I gifted it to my son anyway. The face came off the first time he wore it and you can see where they glued it. I have 4 other Garmin products but they were all new. We've never had an issue. I returned this one right away for a refund. I will not purchase refurbished products again.

The watches I've got look like new (I ordered refirbished version). It seems that everything works, it's great, considering the lower price for refirbished model. The only thing someone might dislike is that using gps full batery discharges just for 4 hours, which is not too bad for this price.

This smartwatch has fewer options than the more expensive watches but it does everything I need. It's simple to use. The phone app is intuitive. The GPS tracking and heart rate are definitely accurate (I have compared). The watch face is smaller and slimmer than most smartwatches, which I like, but I can have a large easy to read display downloaded that helps without my reading glasses. The watch and band are comfortable too. I thought this does Vo2 Max but it appears it needs to synch to a chest strap or wrist monitor, which is a disappointment, considering the image shows it (unless I am missing something?). Ovall, a good choice for athletes that want to keep it simple.

It's been almost a month since I got this watch.First of all, despite being refurbished/renewed, there was no clear sign of any damage.Battery goes around 6 days with no significant gps usage. If you turn on GPS when you exercise, it will last shorter but not sure how much since I just started using the GPS recently. There are different user faces you can choose from on Connect IQ app. I like to use data lover faces to see multiple thins at once but you can always see similar data on widget screens including heart rate, stress level, body energy etc.I liked the performance of the watch during the exercise. It shows your exercise map on the Connect application. Garmin Coach is a really nice feature. I use it for running purposes and gives you duration etc.I really don't use it to track my sleep.Other features are limited but overall Ok. It shows the notifications from your phone. You can control the music etc but this may not be best watch if you like to control your phone better from your watch or listen to music, make phone calls etc.

Garmin Forerunner 45 is great. Easy to use easy to learn and tracks everything. The refurbished is good too. Good price and looks brand new. Only issue... I ordered large black and a small purple came. Fortunately the small fit Nad purple is my favorite color so I didn't miss a beat having to return it.

For me, this watch does everything I want and more. I was overweight and not very active. Once I lost enough weight, I wanted to get into running and track other activity data. I figured sticking with Garmin is a good choice for GPS based data and the Forerunner 45 is easy on the wallet. After a month of use, it has been the number one reason I've been able to get more active and sustain it without dreading the next run or exercise.A couple of things to note: the GPS tracking hasn't failed me yet. Living in a heavily wooded area, it has not lost signal once. Also, some reports suggest limited battery life. Not so for me, I get two days without issue. The information provided is extensive. With the natural link to My Fitness Pal (the exercise and food intake app), I get comprehensive information on diet, nutrition, activity and projected weight changes (I'm still trying to work it down). But, by far, the most pleasant surprise has been the running training guides provided for free. It has enabled a couch potato like me to enter a well-crafted running regimen and get good results. The running training program includes a scheduled series of runs, drills, and support activities in a way that makes it interesting without the fatiguing aspects some programs demand. You have a choice of coaches with slightly different approaches, of which I chose Jeff Galloway because, well...he's Jeff Galloway! I'm amazed at how efficient his techniques are and I have no doubt I will be able to run (and I mean run the whole way) a 5K run in a couple more months after starting a month ago. It may not sound much for many, but for a 65 year old guy that hasn't been able to run more than a hundred yards, that is remarkable. The ability to track daily activity, other built in exercises, the watch face adaptability and other features, it is perfect for me. There is a lot of phone connectivity, but that wasn't a priority for me. Also, there are some additional pay-for programs through the Garmin Connect IQ, but honestly, what comes for free is more than enough for me. I recommend this for anyone that wants to get into a more active lifestyle, especially running. It has been great for me.

Was using an Apple Watch for fitness/running tracking and kept getting frustrated with their interface and battery life. THe Garmin FR 45 may be there entry level running watch, but it is everything I need and more. THe buttons are a much better interface for running especially if you sweat or it is raining outside during your activity. I will never buy anything but Garmin for my fitness watch(es) again. Also, zero issues with it being a "Renewed" or refurbished watch. It looked brand new, and came with all of the manuals and hardware. Only the box was different, but that already went into the trash :)
