I attached this to my 35mm Anamorphic lens (82mm thread) and it worked BEAUTIFULLY! I can get 2 actors, separated (in depth) by 5+ feet - and they can both be IN FOCUS simultaneously! Director BRIAN DePALMA used this technique TWICE in making the movie CARRIE (1976).

Arrived filthy with prints and smudges all over it, not glass, cheap plastic. I guess you get what you pay for. ☹️

Upon first receiving the filter I could see the glass didn't cover the full half of the filter. It's also angled so the side of the glass that isn't suppose to be visible is in every photo. It's what I get for expecting $15 glass to work. Waiting on a replacement. Will see how it goes.

I struggled to get my camera to not focus on the filter with a LOT of my early tries... I am having to use a step-up ring to fit the filter to my camera, which I suspect is a large part of my issue, so my feeling is that this probably works a lot better for those who have a 77mm lens.

This filter does exactly what I expected it to do very versatile and the price is very good. I was concerned about the quality but it works great I don’t us it attached to the lens you can increase or decrease the affect by moving the filter further or closer to the front lens element and by rotation and angling the filter
