They do the job perfectly. I actually have two, one in our bedroom and one in the living room. This was a much more viable option in our case than central air and does the job fine. We chose not to go central air as we would have also needed to upgrade our furnace. Too much money at the time.

air conditioner is built well. Reasonably quiet on high speed. I like the auto feature from dehumidify to air conditioning. Buyer beware. This manufacturer is for existing sleeves. When you get it home on the instruction manual it shows all the sleeves it will fit into. It will provide a grill for your existing sleeve and hardware to screw it to the old sleeve.

Our new Garrison air conditioner is fantastic. They put some thought into this unit. I appreciated the easy slide on side flaps and the face plate that came with the unit. They also included more than enough weather stripping for the outline, enough for inside & outside. This is a powerful unit that cools our entire downstairs and does it on "LOW".

The unit is advertised to provide both heating and cooling but it has no heating capability and lousy instructions.
