This kit is really well thought out and comes with everything you need including a brad drill bit (which I appreciated because I didn't have the correct sized brad bit. ) The brad bit made a clean hole with no tear out and I was on the way to completing the job except for operator error. I had chosen my vent hole location a little too far up into the hollow handle and I couldn't pull the vent stem up there without cutting a little off to shorten the stem and consequently I also had to shorten the cap. But it ended all well and the next 2 cans were easier. Great vent with no leaks. So much better than the snap in plastic ones.

Easy to install, NO leaks and I can empty a 5 gal can in seconds, no more burping. So much more sturdy that plastic push in vents.

Holes drilled just a little too big from wobble so didn’t seal. Lot of work when you can get gorilla glue and get done easily with plastic vents.

Put these on a few Jerry cans and they work great. Allows air flow for faster fills. Easy to install and the kit comes with everything needed.

I was worried about being able to feed the wire with the hardware inside the plastic gas cans. But, it only took a few minutes to get the hang of it.So far, I've done two 6 gallon gas cans and will do two more before the winter hits.Since I'm old, I have a real problem holding up heavy fuel containers, while they very slowly drain into a fuel tank for the riding lawnmower, generator, snow thrower or a car. Adding a few gallons should not take more than a couple minutes! This product is going to make life a little easier in my golden years!

These are a must have for anyone. They are easy to install and save a lot of the frustration with modern gas cans. I will definitely be buying more.They have also come in handy one other projects. I have a older golf that I installed an electric fuel pump on. For this cart I needed to install a return fuel line into the plastic fuel tank to avoid flooding the carburetor. I installed one of these gas can vents in the top of the fuel tank and attached the return line straight to the open vent. The cart is running great with this modification.

It doesn't fit on the Costco brand gas cans. The stem is too short.
