When does the fuel tank cap need to be replaced:
1. There is a problem with the old fuel tank cap that will light up the engine light. When your engine light comes on and you can’t find the source;
2. If you smell gasoline outside the car, it may be that the fuel tank cap is aging, causing the car engine to become loose and leaking oil;
3. When tightening the fuel tank cap but there is no tightening sound, it may be that the rubber ring is loose and aged, and the encryption performance is reduced.
Installation Notes:
- Use a large flat screwdriver to pry under the old tether and pop it out
- Turn over the new fuel tank cap. On the inside, you can observe the concave and convex points
- Align it in the appropriate direction and install the new fuel tank cap

2007 Toyota 4R. The dreaded light came on. Check the code, it was faulty purge valve. Looked up the forum and a gas cap was suggested. This came right on time. After about 24 hrs, the code is gone. Great product.

This gas cap looks and functions the same as my OEM gas cap. It fits well and there were no issues with it that my vehicle’s computer would complain about it. This gas cap is a very inexpensive replacement compared to the OEM one. Overall the fit of this gas cap meets my expectations and performed as expected, so if you are looking for a non OEM gas cap replacement give this one a try.
