This gas cap fits my car perfectly, and costs much less that what the dealer charges. It does not come with a tether but I find it unnecessary and cumbersome, as I can already rest the cap on the gas filler door. I have nothing negative to say as this cap works great about of the box and is very inexpensive.

This fit on my 09 Frontier just like OEM, and it is working like it should, the engine hasn't thrown any evap codes in over a month. Really good price too!Love it!

Didn't fit my 05 Sentra. Neither did the one that was on it, or another I ordered. I ground the triangles off so it could thread in right and problem solved.

The original gas cap on the 2001 Nissan Frontier includes a tether that not everyone likes.The original cap has a recess molded into the cap that keeps the tether attached - though the tether can be removed if unwanted.Like it or not, the tether keeps the cap attached to the vehicle when refueling so it doesn't get lost if you drive off without putting the cap back on. This cap does not include a tether, and the design is such that there is no way to retrofit a tether if desired.If you don't need or don't want a tether, this cap fits your 2001 Frontier.

After 14 years, the gas cap on my truck finally gave up the ghost causing my check engine light to come on. Replacing it with this inexpensive replacement cap did the trick: it is the perfect and I was able to reset the engine light and it stayed off.
