Bought it to replace the O-ring for the cap on E46 steering wheel reservoir. So far no more leaking after the replacement. Recommended for E46 non-M owners.

I do not see why this wouldn't work but I spent OEM money for an aftermarket O-ring. Go buy the $4 O-ring instead.

Fit my 2005 330xi perfectly. Haven't driven the enough yet to know if it stops the gunk from forming on the cap, yet.

This is plain and simply a gasket. It does what it needs to do. I can also confirm that it's OEM.I purchased this item to stop a leaking power steering fluid reservoir on a 2006 BMW 325i.There's really not much to this review. Basically, if you're power steering reservoir is all gunky, that means you need to replace the rubber gasket. Buy this one. It works.Replacement is fairly simple:1. Pop the hood.2. Locate the power steering reservoir cap (driver's side on my car) and remove it3. With a utility knife, remove the old gasket. It might seem like the old gasket is no longer there. I assure you; it's there. You really need a utility knife to pop it off and remove it. A screwdriver will not work if the old gasket is extremely flattened out and work (like mine was).4. Clean off gunk on cap outside (I used dishwasher liquid soap) and dry it off.5. Put the gasket cap back on, close the hood and you're done.To confirm that the new gasket works, check the power steering reservoir a few days after you've replaced the gasket. If you don't see any gunk or leaking fluid, then you're good.

It stopped the leak. I am sure the shop would have charged at least a couple hundred to fix the leak.I spent about $8,trying not to hurt my arm patting my self on the back.
