So my weds were coming out okay until I googled that you’re supposed to reverse the polarity with flux core. I got even better results when I turned on my standard 75/25 welding gas. I’m able to get decent welds for sure, if your expecting pretty welds, then you need to tig weld

I decided to gamble on this wire to build a 1/4 wave resonator for my project vehicle. After loading it into my Titanium 125 flux core, I got C-grade welds with the voltage turned all of the way up and the wire speed in the mid/lower range. Penetration was not terrible, but it would build up a big glob on top of the weld.After switching polarity (takes 10 minutes after opening up the right side of the welder), things went much better. I started getting excellent penetration (on 16 ga 304 SS) and had to dial back the voltage a little bit. The welds were still not TIG-pretty (flux core after all), but put down plenty of material. I ground one of them - zero porosity and it held water on the first try. So, yes, you can absolutely DIY 304 SS welding at home with this, for thin material like exhaust. I wouldn't build a set of headers with this stuff but it is perfect for my application (adding a resonator and not wanting to take the whole system somewhere to get TIG welded).

I'm new to welding and have only used flux core, but this stuff makes welding seem easy. I'm welding 16g 304 stainless and I have zero blow through, seems like good penetration and even somewhat pretty welds. For whatever reason the other poster is spot on when they say to reverse the polarity (run it like you would a regular mig; gun positive). I'm still trying to figure out why, but the welds look 1000 times better when you use that polarity.

I tried multiple setting and even reversed polarity but I could never get a decent weld quality out of this wire.

Worked great on my exhaust. Make sure you switch polarity - it needs to be run opposite of most flux core wire. Minimal spatter and held a really clean arc, no feed issues. Can't complain!

This product works pretty good better than I thought it would. I thought you'd be chipping slag off it but there is no slag works okay! I used it to weld highway pegs on my crash bars and they haven't broke off yet so...
