The heat plates are sturdy and best of all adjustable and they fit perfectly in my older grill.

No instructions in box but overall figured it out. Adjusted to my old gas Kenmore BBQ easily which is nice since the original parts are no longer produced.

I installed these and the screw slide holes were on the front end of my grill. I use the front/middle often. The flame comes through the holes and flames out parts of your meat. Flip them around and your good to go or at least think of where you grill most and if you want open flame there or not.
