I’ve tried many different keyboard switches - red, blue, white, etc. etc. in trying to get that sought after “thock” sound that still delivers an accurate and comfortable typing experience. The Gateron Milky Yellow bring me the best “thock” along with a superior and precise typing experience. My son, also bought a set because these sound so good and work so well. If your MX 5-pin keyboard needs an upgrade then these are wonderful keyboard switches that I highly recommend.

These switches sound amazing unlubed and even better lubed! They have a very creamy sound and are a bit of a medium-heavy switch, which is great for someone like me who types quite aggressively.

I see a lot of comments like "great for people getting into keyboard modding" or "good for beginners " and while that isn't technically untrue, its definitely the wrong takeaway. Milky yellows are one of the best linear switches you can get. If your new to custom keyboards- you don't necessarily get more the more you pay and these cheap switches are a prime example. I would take milky yellows over most of the premium switches I have tried. You can get these incredibly smooth with proper lube.

In this price range, milky yellows are top of their class. I've tried some expensive linear switches, and these hold their own just fine. Throw some krytox 205g0 in the mix and you're good to go.

Used these for a Keychron V1. Out of the 82 I used only found 3 or 4 with slightly bent pins which were simple enough to bend back. They're good unlubed but I lubed them up with Krytox and it made them that much better.
