Not wire reinforced, had to make small bend and it collapsed! Return was going to cost half as much as original cost , so I kept it. Before ordering this item be sure to check return policy!

This item was just the ticket for my 1994 Corolla w/1.6L motor (4afe). I was doing a timing belt/water pump and this hose is pretty easy to access once you've already removed what's required to do the belt/pump. It's also subjected to considerable heat and pressure, so should probably be replaced whenever convenient, especially since it's cheap and you get enough to do the job multiple times with this hose.Although you only need about a 3'' length of this tubing, don't be tempted to use normal heater hose. This hose is reinforced and can tolerate the high temperature (located right next to cylinder head, behind motor) and pressure (the bypass hose sees the highest pressure because it's right off of the pump) that this application sees.I'm glad that I decided to replace this hose, as the old one was a standard radiator hose that had swelled very considerably and looked ready to burst (not sure how long its been on, but at least 85k miles, since I've never changed it).Word of advice: Cut the tubing to length carefully. Since the hose is very stiff, you must have the length pretty precise, otherwise the water pump housing will not bolt up to the block correctly.

hoses are sized by inside diameter . The seller stated size to be 1.6 when inside diameter is actually 1 1/2"
