Gates Submersible Fuel Line Hose is capable of handling multiple types of gasoline and fuels, including gasoline, alcohol-extended gasoline, ethanols, biodiesel or diesel fuel in fully-immersed, mobile and stationary applications. Most fuel lines are only designed to handle fuel on the interior of the hose, which can be damaged if the exterior is exposed to fuel. Engineered for fully submersible use, these hoses are excellent for use on gas tank fuel pumps.

Gates 27093 should be 5/16" and marked accordingly. I received unlabeled blank 1/4" hose that swelled after a week in a gas tank. Pictures are real 27093 vs this.

Wish the car parts stores would stock this. Or even know what it is.Used to overhaul pumps and filter in the tank of my Triumph Daytona. One length of hose did the 4 pieces used in the bottom of tank.OEM hose was 25 years old and falling to pieces.

I was having to replace the fuel pump and filter inside my motorcycles fuel tank and found that the fuel line inside the tank was deteriorating. Luckily I was informed that the fuel line inside the tank is a special blend of rubber hose that can withstand the 24/7 constant submersion in gasoline. And to think, I was just about to use standard fuel line! I think the reason for the deterioration was the bike was made before ethanol was being put into gas, so the hose was not made for an ethanol bath. Even though this 12" inches of hose is expensive, it still beat Triumph's cost of $2.25 per inch of hose.

This hose is for fully submerging the fuel line in fuel, like in a fuel tank. Do not use non submersion rated fuel lines inside the fuel tank as the outside will get eaten over time and you will have a bad day. Very well built hose!I used this for my fuel sending unit on my motorcycle between the outlet and the fuel filter. Cuts up to size easily as well.

description not accurate with picture, what you get is a rip off, for price should have got 3 times length not less than a foot, not really fair, restock charge and return shipping cost not worth return(lose half of what was paid, do your homework before you buy!), fix the @#%king picture atleast.

Excellent hose. But.... I have the same complaint as many other reviewers - the hose lengths are NOT 12 inches. Also note if you order a quantity higher than one, you are buying individually bagged hoses that are approximately 10-12" long. Given the junk sold in auto parts stores, many won't mind paying for this - as long as you don't need multiple feet of continuous hose.

For in tank high fuel pressure, 30R10 must be used. This hose meets that specification. Most applications need only several short pieces to connect hard lines, filter and pump. Be sure you use the correct clamps otherwise the typical 100psi pump output may cause lines to blow off their fitting. The clamps should shoulder prior to the gripping flair not on the flair. My BMW oilhead uses about 7 inches of the 12 inch length to change all the pressure lines in the tank. For exterior lines, 30R9 is adequate. Vents can use 30R7.

Best price I could find for it. Costs much more than standard fuel injection line, but don't try and save a few bucks and use regular fuel line in your fuel tank. Regular line will quickly deteriorate and you'll end up doing the job a second time, and will buy this hose anyway.
