The pulley wheel on the tensioner came damaged with scratches and dents. This is my 3rd order.

Can’t speak to longevity, but figment is perfect. Another review stated that it did not fit his LR Discovery II, but it fits perfectly. It does look different as he showed in his pictures, but fitment is perfect.As for Gates products, I use their pulleys and tensioners on my BMW and have had no issues at 50k+ miles so I’m assuming this will perform equally.

I'm sure this is a great part-metal pulley and all. BUT....It does NOT fit a 2003 Land Rover Discovery 4.6-the locator pin is D-shaped and too big, the depth is too deep and there is no external hook-thing.

Better than OEM. The pulley is made out of METAL! Much better than cheap landrover factory pulley made of plastic.

This item fits well and the spring is quite strong compared to my OEM piece. It was easy to install and seems to keep the belt under the appropriate tension. Something to note - the idler pulley on the tensioner did have a very slight wobble on it's axis, despite the bolt being tightened to the appropriate torque. I installed it anyway and after 2000 miles it doesn't seem to be an issue, but I will update this review if something goes wrong.

Perfect fit on my '04 D2, well made, better than OEM and cheaper too. Steel pulley instead of the original plastic.
