This belt seems much tougher and is noticeably stiffer than a standard replacement/oem belt. My engine has upgraded cams and valve springs so there's more stress on the belt and so far its working great and keeping perfect time with no signs of wear. I will say though that these blue belts from Gates are the ONLY thing I would EVER buy from Gates (see my other review on their timing belt kit with water pump). Gate's other parts (especially their timing tensioners) are made in China knockoff garbage. If you want an upgraded belt though, these are great belts.I'll try to update this review after I get a good amount of miles on it.
