My timing belt went out and I replaced both my water pump and this unit at the same time. This is a big job so I figured I might as well replace everything. I was glad I did. The old tensioner, it turned out, was on it's last leg. I went with this tensioner because reviews on competitive units didn't look so good. I've been running with this new tensioner for over a month now and all works well. I saved over $20 by ordering from Amazon rather than buying locally.
