Super easy to install, took about 5 minutes. I decided to put it on a fence post to help when the farrier is here. First thing I noticed is how strong the magnet is. This is important as other ties I have seen with weaker magnets often fail with a clever horse. Made of a sturdy stainless steel, I see this lasting a long time even out in the elements. Overall, excellent product.

This tie ring set comes with the tie ring, carabiner, eyebolt, and hardware to install eyebolt. All of the pieces have a nice weight too them and feel like good quality and all hinging is smooth. The magnet isn’t super strong but it’s strong enough for its purpose. Any stronger and it would probably be difficult to use. I generally don’t leave it outside but so far it hasn’t discolored or given me any reason to feel that it would have a problem rusting so I am confident that if I needed to install it out in the weather it would work just as well as it does in the barn. Once I found out about this type of tie ring that’s all that I’ll use and this Gayrrnel horse tie ring is exactly what I look for and at a great price in comparison.

I've been using the Gayrrnel Horse Tie Ring for our miniature mules, and it's proven to be a reliable addition to our farm equipment. The sturdiness of the tie ring is immediately noticeable, which is essential when working with animals. It's been particularly helpful, allowing me to securely tie off one mule while focusing on the other, facilitating a more efficient workflow.The inclusion of hardware with the tie ring is a great convenience, saving time and hassle during installation. However, I did find that I needed to make a second knot in the lead to prevent the mules from pulling it out, which is a minor adjustment but worth noting. The tie ring is installed under a roof, so I'm optimistic about its longevity and resistance to wear.Overall, I'd rate the Gayrrnel Horse Tie Ring a solid 4 out of 5. Its durability and security are impressive, though the need for an extra knot is a small drawback. I ordered this tie ring after seeing a friend's horse trailer with 3 of them on it. I tied a short piece of cord around my trailer tie and clipped the carabiner to it and hung the tie tie from that. Works really slick. I have other tie rings in my stall and outside to tie my horse up but thought this was such a cool idea. You can quickly remove it when you are going down the road so it doesn't bang the side of your trailer while traveling. It also made me think I might add one to my camping gear to tie a piece of twine around the campground corral post and hang my carabiner and tie ring to it for another place to tie my horse besides at the trailer. This tie is made from heavy metal that is stout and looks and performs as the brand name one does. I still have the ability to permanently mount it on a post but also like the versatility of temporary use. Good quality product.

First, please note that we have not yet mounted this tie ring. It is going in our new barn still under construction. We have owned many of these tie rings over the years and know the good stuff from the junk. This tie ring falls in the high quality category. Very substantial stainless steel structure. The mounting plate is a really nice feature you don't often see.The magnet is a safety feature that is a quick release if you need to untie your horse quickly. This magnet is on the weaker side and, in my opinion, will release a little too easily. Still, a nice quality tie ring. It includes a stainless steel snap that lets you completely remove the tie from the bracket. This means you can get your tie ring out of rain and severe weather.The ring is designed to stand up to weather and probably will. We have just found that the moisture and oppressive humidity here in Texas take a toll even on good quality stainless steel. So, the snap is a very important feature that you don't get on all tie rings. The company includes screw anchors that almost certainly can't be used on wood, don't know why they bothered. The wood screws included look and feel solid.An A+ tie ring downgraded to an A for the weaker magnet. Recommended. Five stars.

If you have a horse that panics and pulls back when tied, you really need to invest in these. Use a long lead and don't do the extra loop, just the basic push through like shown on my first photo. It allows your horse to pull back and the rope will slide through, but as long as you use a decent length lead rope. It puts a little pressure on yet releases enough that most horse settle very quickly. I have a mustang with a strong flight or fight mode and prior to using these, she broke everything ever used on her. Now she stands beautifully no longer terrified of being unable to move.I have them in my wash rack area but I keep them on my horse trailer too. They always send these with small clips. Most of the brackets on my trailer are too wide to accommodate the clip it comes with, so I just replace it with a regular carabiner (being an ex-rock climber, I have a ridiculous amount of these lying about).I can't stress enough how helpful a tool this is for people with horses like my mustang, but they are very convenient for tying any horse. Some people struggle to make easy release knots... you don't need to know any knots to use this.
