We've had these plugged in for two years. They are dependable night lights, coming on in the evening when areas are dark. We have 4 and have them along our route downstairs to our safe room. The come on automatically during power failure. Can also be carried as a flashlight. Two levels of brightness. We had tornadoes in our area last night, been without power and they are still going after 8 hours. Highly recommend

Very good quality. Nice night light in any room. Then, a great light if power goes off. Has batteries that are not used until the power is not on and they make a great lantern and flashlight. Well worth the money. I plan to order more.

Decided to buy these lights after a power failure. Now they light up as soon as power goes out and easy to find and you can then use them as a flashlight! Great Idea!

Really 3-in-1 = night light with two brightness modes (low or high) plus light sensor to turn it off when room has enough light, reserve light for power down works from 3xAA batteries and turns on in cases when outlet lost current not to.menyion it could be used as a flashlight as well - just awesome, really genius smart design, best recommendations!

Love these! Keeps my kids feeling safe during power outages and decreases the stress of kids waking up in a panic if you live in an area with frequent power outages. Low setting is a nice night light

Not sure what some of the negative reviewers received, but it doesn't sound like they are reviewing the GE 4-in-1 LED Power Failure Light. There are complaints about motion sensing not working, and this review even asked me to rate that feature. These lights do not have a motion sensor; they have a light sensor. They come on when it's dark, and turn off when it's bright enough to see without them. That feature works great.Other reviews complained about battery life while plugged in. These do not use the batteries while plugged in if there is power to the outlet. Don't believe me? You can take the batteries out and it still works fine as a regular night light. Also, the batteries are included, you do not need to spend more money to buy them. When the time comes that I DO need to replace them, I always have a big box of Amazon Basics AA batteries in the house anyway, since those are used in so many other devices in the home. These lights work exactly as described. They function as a regular nightlight in everyday use. They keep working even when the power goes out. My only tiny quibble is they are a bit bigger than regular night lights because of the 3 AA batteries. I love that they also work as a small flashlight. They are not super bright, but 60 lumens on high is enough light to find your way around a dark house. I now have 4 of them around the house, so even if I just need a little extra light real quick, there is always one nearby and easy to find.

The GE 4-in-1 LED Power Failure Light is an absolute must-have for any home! This product offers so much versatility with its multiple functions—it serves as an emergency flashlight, night light, task light, and power failure light all in one. The dusk-to-dawn sensor is incredibly convenient, automatically turning the light on or off based on the room’s lighting conditions. It’s great knowing I don’t have to worry about manually adjusting it.The brightness is impressive for such a compact unit, with 40 lumens providing just the right amount of light without being too harsh. The auto-on feature during power outages is a lifesaver—it kicks in immediately, ensuring we have light when we need it most. It’s also easy to remove from the wall and use as a flashlight, which is a huge plus.Overall, I’m very satisfied with this GE light. It’s reliable, easy to use, and offers great peace of mind, especially in case of emergencies. Highly recommend it!

I bought this product considering the quality standards of GE. But it was a big disappointment for me. In just after 2 months of operation, it stopped working. The power failure mode stopped working. It is now only working as a night lamp. The price was more than 2000 rupees. Total waste of money. I think a well reputed company like GE should not do this to customers.

These are probably the best emergency lights for most home applications, and here is why they beat most others in this class.First, the batteries are replaceable. These lights are not disposable. And the batteries can be replaced even when the power is out so they keep running if you are facing a power outage that lasts 48+ hours for example.HOWEVER - the type of battery you use can make a big difference. These lights ship with Energizer Max batteries. Those batteries have a 10yr shelf life and have a far less chance of leaking during storage. BUT if you replace them with something like ENERGIZER ULTIMATE LITHIUM you get a 20yr shelf life and nearly no chance of leaking. Also a good AA battery like the Ultimate Lithium has a 3000mah capacity, which is 6x - 8x the run time of most emergency lights in this class with rechargeable batteries.Speaking of the other units with rechargeable batteries - they are usually cheap NiMH or NiCd batteries with a short run time. But worse than a short run time, they are going to have a much shorter standby life. If you are buying emergency lights with sealed rechargeable batteries, you will probably want to replace the lights every 5 years. The only thing I did not like about these lights is the fact that they must be left on as nightlights to operate in a power outage. HOWEVER THERE IS A FAIRLY SIMPLE FIX FOR THAT.********* HOW TO MODIFY THE LIGHT SO IT IS NOT A NIGHTLIGHT *********In order to modify these lights so that they ONLY COME ON IN A POWER FAILURE, simply replace the photo cell with a 2.5k to 4.5k ohm resistor. The photo cell is mounted to the PCB with long leads, so you can clip it off and easily solder a resistor across the remaining legs without having to remove the PCB or solder to the PCB. It takes me about 5 minutes and 10 cents to modify one of these lights to operate exactly how I want them to.MISC RAMBLINGSI see a lot of people complain about brightness, run time or other characteristics of emergency lights. Emergency lights are really there to help you navigate your way to a better light :-) They prevent you from falling down stairs etc as you go GET TO YOUR LANTERN, FLASHLIGHT, CANDLE ETC.The last power outage my city had in the middle of the night, I had my portable scanner going and sure enough the calls started coming in to the fire dept reporting people falling inside their home. That is why you deploy emergency lights, to help you get around in the dark when it happens unexpectedly.

it comes with a US plug. It's not rechargeable, as the batteries inside are not rechargeable. Even if it was, it works on 110V. Triple A (Avoid Avoid Avoid). Return is also slighlty more complicated as it comes from the US.
