The "Burner On" light would not turn off on my stove even when the knob was clicked into the OFF position. A google search suggested that it could have been the burner control switch failing. It was apparent which one was bad since we primarily only use the large burner on the front right like 99.999% of the human race. The part was a direct replacement and installed without issue. After replacement, the light functions as normal.

Looking for the switch for an older model stove as the old one short circuited. The size and number of plugs look to be the same. Only difference is the shaft that didn’t fit the knob. Saw a review about changing the shaft and it works!! Opened the metal cover, swap out the shaft and put the metal cover back.It is working!!

My old one burnt out and couldn't regulate power anymore. I replaced that with this product. So far it seems to be a good product and doing its job well. The installation isn't straightforward as you need to take care of lots of things. The entire back lid had to be opened and the old one must come off before you can install it. Also, there are many cables connecting different regulators and main electric board with main electric power. If you mistakenly connect wrong cables, there is possibility of electric shock or something more terrible. So be aware of that. The smartest way is to take a photo from the old connection before taking the old switch off. You can find installation videos on youtube. Also, it comes in two sizes. I bought the 8" one for the larger stove. I guess you may try the 6" one for the smaller stove. But ask the manufacturer before purchase.

I have a Moffat brand stove (a GE brand) that is probably about 20 years old. The model number is: MCBS522 K1WW. It was manufactured in Mexico.The large, 8", burner started to get glitchy. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on at all, and sometimes it would heat to max power regardless of what the temperature setting was. It also made a soft buzzing sound sometimes. A bit of research left me pretty convinced the problem was the burner's switch.I was a bit nervous about ordering this, as I wasn't positive it would work with my old Moffat stove. Based on pictures it looked the same as the switch that was in my stove, so I took the chance. Very relieved to find out it works perfectly.Installation was extremely easy. The two screws that were used to secure the old switch fit this switch, and even the old knob fits on this switch perfectly (the end of the shaft has a shape similar to the number 8). As I removed the five wires on the old switch, one at a time, I put them on the corresponding connectors of the new switch. Then I tried turning it off and on a couple times and it worked like a charm.Very glad I took the chance on this instead of hiring someone to fix the stove or buying a new one! Hope the stove can now be used for many more years.
