Easy to replace (oil out 1/2”), incline it and remove it. First time it may take 10 minutes, second time is a 2 mins job.

So glad I found this solution. I’d been dealing with a problematic freezer for weeks trying to figure out the problem without spending a fortune on techs poking around in there. My freezer was stuck around 17-18 degrees and the million (area between fridge and freezer doors) was scaling hot to a point of almost melting the door rubber causing a chemical smell from the freezer as well.I thought maybe it was the evaporator fan in the back of the freezer at first, and I paid $65 for a tech to back that idea up. When I told him about the heat and the smell he dismissed it and basically gaslit me into the idea that I was imagining those issues. Very happy I didn’t pay another penny to a tech after that.Thankfully I found a reviewer with the same issues as me and I picked this up refurbished for $20. Swapped it out and all my freezer problems are finally solved! Spent a hundred on techs and swapping other fans/parts out but all I needed was this one cheap part. Amazing.I will note, it’s TOUGH to take out the old one. There’s a YT video walking you through it, but it required my wife and I using different tools to try to jimmy and wedge it out and a healthy amount of cursing for about 45 minutes before we got it out. New one went in in about 5 minutes and the freezer was back to freezing in a couple hours.Only reason I docked a star is because my order didn’t come with the foam sealant (as pictured). But we used some of the old part’s foam and some other sealant we had sitting around and made it work. Otherwise perfect part.

Good discount on returned product. Item fit and functioned perfectly. Smooth transaction overall.Note for DIYers: The trick to removing the old unit is to rotate the fan (tilt the bottom out) and then lift it out. It's a 10 minute job once you know the trick.

I had an issue with my freezer not reaching temperatures below 20F, and the structure between the freezer and refer was so hot to the touch that it was melting the rubber.I noted that the compressor would not engage, which led me to believe it was overheating. Thought I’d replace the fan to see if it would work as a much cheaper option than replacing the whole thing (wife rather new everything than spend the money on a new compressor). It was about a 10 minute job, with most of the effort put into moving the fridge to access the rear panel.Worked immediately and we’ve had no issues since.

Not easy to install, however much cheaper than buying a whole new fridge. Our fan broke and this replacement works perfect! These fans aren't stocked in may stores, so it was much quicker to purchase online and install ourselves. If you're handy and can fix your own appliances, I strongly recommend this product

It is pretty difficult to remove the old out out. About a 30min job. After some research, the old unit needs to be pulled out about 1/2 inch (out of the 3 tabs holding it), tilt, then pull out. To remove I had to pry up on the 3 tabs and move the coil to the right to have enough room to get it out. Take your time and don't damage the copper lines. While you are here go ahead and clean the coils. Here is the link of the info I found:
