This is absolutely overpriced for the quality. I wouldn't attach any of my gear to it as it is virtually useless for what it says it can do. Do not waste your time, extra long dental floss would surpass this, sorry to be blunt but it is not suited for what it says.

Ordered this to have an easy way to put up/get out a hoist rope and it's perfect! Now before you buy keep in mind that this is not a hoist tool it's a tool used for organizing and putting the rope away nicely and easily.I read some bad reviews but they all we're trying to use this to hoist their firearms/bows up. I simply just pull up the firearm/bow by hand and reel the rope up in this dodad when whatever you need hoisted up, is up. It has two places to hold the rope when it's not in use and they work well. Came with the ziptie to secure it to the stand (my stand is a Summit Viper Climber).Only complaint is the clip that came with it I switched out to a little bit of a heavier duty carabiner so I know my stuff isn't going to fall in mid air.

Very cheaply made I wouldn't trust it to hoist up my lunch.

Good idea but it is not engineered and made very well. The whole purpose of this product, in my opinion, is only to keep your line spooled up, organize and out of the way when you are done lifting up your stuff to your stand. This is not meant to be used as a pulley for your stuff. It cannot take any weight which is the biggest downfall. This is meant to wrap up your sting when your done lifting your stuff up or when leaving your stand to head back out. The string it comes with is good, the clip should be plastic not metal due to rust and noise, the mount should be stronger and wrap all the way around the stand not just partially. Other than that its really helpful to have attached to my stand because it keeps the line from being tangled. and not designed well at all. It is very difficult to twist the wheel because of the small handle and the entire clamp comes off the stand as soon as there is any weight on it. Needs to be re-engineered with better parts and design but works generally fine for its intended use.

2 stars for the idea and ease of install. The rope is made out of the slickest and most jagged nyolon imaginable. Lowering my 5lb bow and 15lb bag very slowly still burned through my glove and most of the skin on my fingers. Also, after the 3rd use, the mounting plastic has become so place that it no longer stays attached. A snap on back plate, a single screw, something would fix this. As it is, I have to change out the rope, the mount, and probably the spool for larger rope... So basically rebuild every single part because it is flawed. Also I have to buy new gloves and more Band-Aids.
