This fits great on the pi and the temps are very low now. Great product.

I have a Raspi 3B+ running a 3D printer inside of the enclosure, and I would run into thermal throttling, even with a small no-fan heatsink on the main chip that came with the pi. I installed this and it took my temps down dramatically, now staying in the 50's / low 60's at the highest, where before it was getting up in the 80s.Fan has 2 speeds depending on if you hook to 3V or 5V rail, I found that the slower speed was still plenty to keep it cool, and I cannot hear the fan at all, even from like 1 ft away. The faster speed is audible, but still very quiet. Huge upgrade. The only improvement would be on the instructions, there are several different thermal pads, heatsinks, etc. and the instructions were pretty useless. Not that difficult to figure out though.

My old Pi 4B 8Gb is running CasaOS with several services including Plex server, Grafana and MariaDB, I have 4 TVs in the house, 2 1080p and 2 4K, with all 4 streaming from my Plex server there is no lagging / notable caching, just clean streaming. And the temps stay nice and stable. The Pi is overclocked to 2Ghz with no issues at all. Fits flawlessly in my 3D printed case as well. Very nice setup and well worth a few bucks to keep the old Pi chugging along.

Fits inside the official Pi case (the red & white one), but doesn't do much if the cover is on due to nowhere to get cool air from.In open air though, or even just with the case top off, I'm seeing a very substantial temperature drop about 20oC cooler than before with just a passive copper heatsink.Virtually silent, I can't hear it unless my ear is almost close enough to feel the air that's being sucked into the fan, almost touching the blades.Took all of 3 minutes to fit to my Pi 3 B+Very happy with this cooler.

I liked how it kept my Pi cool. Then the time came where I wanted to put it into a case where this heatsink would not fit.Removing this thing was not easy. Not in the slightest. It holds itself in place by using the foam type substance and it leaves the stuff ALL OVER the processor and sdram. I did my best to clean it off, and very carefully. After installing it in another case, the pi booted halfway into my retropie image, then froze. After removing power and then trying to reboot, I got an sdram error. I borrowed a raspberry pi 4 from a friend, and can confirm the case does work with it.My only conclusion is that in trying to clean the awful foam adhesive stuff this thing uses that I have accidentally messed up my pi 4.They really need to find some other way to fasten this thing to the board. Now I don't have a pi 4 during a shortage where these things cost three-four times more than they shouldRegret all around.

I use the Raspberry Pi (RPi) in a lot of projects. When using the RPi 4, the CPU can get very hot. I had the basic aluminum heat sink on the CPU and was measuring about 63 degrees C. It was very hot to the touch but kept the RPi under the throttling temperature. After installing this product, the temperature dropped to about 33 degrees C and under load, up to 38 degrees C. The fan is super quiet. The only downside is that it does cover the WiFi chip and in some cases it might reduce the WiFi signal. But in my usage, I have the CAT5 cable plugged in so it really does not affect me.I did some minimal WiFi/Bluetooth tests and the signal was still acceptable. Your mileage may vary. Two notes of interest. The first is if you are going to use a camera or the display port, you might want to put those cables in place first because the heatsink fits very close to the connectors and you might have to use tools to install the cables or remove the heatsink temporarily. The second note is that this heatsink DOES NOT cover the power or hdmi ports at all. It does not impede connectivity to these connections at all.One recommendation for anyone using this heatsink would be to get something to cover the bottom of the board as this heatsink only sits on top. If you think there is a risk of shorting the board from the bottom, you might find something to cover it.Otherwise, great product

The heatsink itself seems fine enough, fan works and is quiet, but the problem is that it relies on thermal pads to stick it to your Pi (no screw option), and the pads they give you are only the slightest bit sticky. The small pink pad for the CPU is hardly sticky at all, and the larger gray pad was just falling apart. I managed to keep it mostly in tact by scraping it off the paper with a sharp blade. Anyways, this might not be a problem for someone who would be having their Pi setting flat on a desk, but mine is vertical, and this just doesn't stick and won't work for my needs. Honestly, I was looking for this product on amazon, saw 2 options that looked the same, and I just chose the cheaper one. Had I inspected both listings more carefully, I would have seen that one had the ability to attach it to the board with screws, and saved myself the trouble of making this wasteful purchase. My fault in the end, but the seller reached out anyways and offered assistance, so that was cool.

The heatsink is good, but the adhesives and instructions are not. There is a microscopic picture that poorly and inaccurately describing how the double sided stickers should be applied. I'm still not sure is the thicker sticker is double sided or not. It tore apart trying to get the second side's adhisive exposed. I very VERY relarely rate a product low, but this was avoidable with just a 5 cent piece of paper with better instructions.

works as it should and system running well.In my images attached you’ll notice before and after pictures of the Pi4 original casing that comes upon purchase. I had to sand away the screw holes and camera holder area in order for the case to close as the fan would be hitting the top of the caseIt’s not a big deal, it was a matter of using a knife and cutting off some plastic and then sanding down the remaining pieces
