Canopy package is more compact than expected, good for car camping. It requires some efforts to know the setup for the first time, not to bad, but I guess next time would be much easier. Provides great shade. Very happy with the purchase and look forward to using it more.

Positives:- Quality tarp. It feels like it has some kind of rubberized coating on one end, which is great for repelling water.- The stitching seems sturdy where it counts- Tarp held up in 2.5 days of near-torrential downpour! Collapsed the last night on one end but i think that was because of *totally, completely 100% sober* people tripping on the paracord tie-offs- The ground stakes that come with the tarp are very thick (maybe 5-8mm in diameter, unsure of measurements in Freedom Units) and feel very sturdy.- The tarp comes in separate bags: 1 for the poles, 1 for the paracord and stakes, and the big bag for the tarp and other bags (Bagception!)Cons:- Pretty much exclusively held up by paracord and 2 stand-alone poles. You will have trip hazards around your campsite, so be aware at night or keep lights on them, unless you are prepared for surprise gravity tests.- Possible Degree in architecture or mechanical engineering required! The setup is easy enough, its just erecting it that's the challenge. I'm glad I had 2 buddies to help me because I couldn't imagine having to set this thing up by myself. Trying to keep tension on the lines while erecting the pole supports was a challenge with 2 adults and granted we were a little tipsy (We were camping, shut up) it still shouldn't have taken the effort we put in.- The internet meme of "Instructions unclear, ____ caught in a ceiling fan" come to mind when reading the instructions that came with it. Ironically enough, it specifically says "Read instructions carefully before setup to avoid becoming confused" and then gives you 4 panels of illustrations for setup instructions. We had a good laugh about this but in the future maybe provide a QR code with a video or more detailed instructions.Overall, very solid product though!

This camping tent tarp exceeded my expectations! Its durable material provided excellent protection against sun and rain during my outdoor adventure. Setup was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly design and included stakes. I especially appreciated its versatility, doubling as a shelter for picnics or beach outings. Compact and lightweight, it's now an essential part of my camping gear. Highly recommended for its durability, ease of use, and versatility!

Canopy is very easy to setup and you can use it for several different jobs, made with good quality materials with good heavy stitching

This is a huge tarp, and very lightweight for its size. I do mean the tarp itself. The weight of the poles is quite a bit more.My intention is to primarily use this tarp by itself, independent from the poles. For this reason, I would love to see a centerline tie-out added along the long side just as the shorter side has. The versatility this would add would make this an exceptional choice. As it is, though, it is still quite good.To compensate for the lack of central tie-outs on the long side, I'll likely pitch this with a ridgeline running the long direction so I can use the center tie-outs on the short edges. If I really want to pitch the other way, adding a soft "button" to each end of the long edge wouldn't be too hard. The ropes that come with this tarp all include a retention bar, making tensioning a cinch. The stakes are more robust than the small "wire" types you often find with lower quality offerings. They're still aluminum, so you don't want to go ham on them, but they should hold up quite well.Overall build quality is excellent. We'll see if it holds up.I'm taking this tarp (sans poles) with me camping this weekend, and we're expecting quite a bit of rain. It should get a good trial, and I'll come back to provide an update of results.UPDATE AFTER TRIP:It absolutely POURED on us. We had rain for more than half of the day on Saturday. We dug channels for water to flow around our tents and seating areas just to manage the downpour and keep our stuff dry.I say all that to say that this tarp ROCKED IT! Not a single drip of water fell inside the tarp's boundary. The taped seams didn't let anything in, and the material was perfectly waterproof. Everything I kept under the tarp stayed completely dry. I trenched a small path around one edge of it to direct water away from where my chair was, and that whole patch of ground underneath stayed bone dry. I didn't have to pack up muddy gear. I could set stuff down on the dry ground and not worry about it. It was great.By the end of that day, everybody was gathering under my huge tarp to get out of the drizzle. This tarp was fantastic. The location we camped at wasn't conducive to a ridgeline, so I basically just tied out to a few trees, used two tarp poles, and even found a long stick that I put an empty bottle on top of to wedge up into the tarp and prevent water from pooling. This tarp gave us respite and made a wet and muddy weekend quite enjoyable.

This is probably the best remote camping awning ever for dining and a cluster of tents including a privacy/shower tent. In addition, I use it attached to the side of a minivan with suction flagpole holders on the driver side and 8.1 ft extendable tarp poles on the corners.

Essentially, there is a single pole at each end, each of which needs to be tied down practically at the same time. Unless you have two (or more) people to put it up, it's a challenge. It's quite difficult to do by one person.Once it's up, it works pretty well, if you don't mind having 6 or more guy lines to watch out for.
