Edited 4/8/2017.... I do not understand what AMAZON has going on, but I ordered this item from GEM MART USA, bit received from Beverly Oaks LLC. I am not a fan of Beverly oaks. Prefer the packaging from GEN MART. Product received was fine, but not from seller i ordered from... AMAZON had better be careful about combining sellers accounts, or I will not be taking the chance anymore.......Ok, This is not only a review of the product, but a comment on the seller a s well. First off, the product.... I ordered two(2) lots of the “200+ carats loose gem stones”, that would amount to 400+ carats. I planed on keeping 200 for my own amusement, and 200 as a B-Day gift for a friend. I received my order on time and in good shape as far as packaging. The 200+ carat individual item was packaged in a nice “silk” like bag with certificate of authenticity. The bag contained two(2) packs of 100 carat stone assortment. I simply grabbed the first “200+ carat” packet out of the box for myself, and put the other pack up to give to a friend at a later date. This was received in early June 2016, friends B’day was in July 2016. The assortment I opened was wonderful. Many stones, beautiful mix of colors and sizes. Absolutely tickled with the product. I know nothing about precious gems,or how to rate them, or honestly, even how to identify what they are, But they were shinny and intriguing to look at and fun to sort. Very happy for the price. I promptly offered a 5 star feedback on the seller in response to the email prompt I received.However, a month later I presented my Friend, who had admired my “collection of jewels”, with the additional 200+ carat pack I had ordered. I was shocked by what this pack contained! As stated, there are two(2) packs of 100 carat containers. The first 100 opened was perfect. Nice selection of colors and sizes. Unfortunately, the second “packet” was very disappointing. It was comprised entirely of very small stones of limited color. While my friend was happy with the gift, I was not, as I expected what I gave to be comparable to what I had kept for myself.I sent a message to the seller, through Amazon services, just to give them some “consumer feedback” on what had happened with the second lot, just to let them know what i had experienced after giving them a 5 Star Review. I was not asking for compensation or refund as my friend is happy with the product. I simply advised them that they might want to tighten quality control to ensure that at least a few larger stones were included with ever packet. This message was sent over a week ago, and I have yet to receive a reply. As someone who has worked for the public for over 30 years, I find this lack of response unacceptable. While the product deserves at least a 4 star rating, sellers lack of appreciation for honest feedback forces me to deduct another star. I would advise others to use caution ordering this produce as you may very well receive a very disappointing assortment of small, useless stones and the seller will not care. Honest comments, from a Honest Amazon customer.

I chose to give this the rating I did because:These are visually very pretty. The "emeralds", which are NOT emeralds, are ALL murky. (Still useable of course) The "Rubies" which are NOT rubies, (garnet) are very pretty, but I think the teeny ones were fillers. Theres quite a lot of tiny ones. However, I did get a good amount of the larger, or medium sizes, if you will. ( For the price ) I personally plan on purchasing more, becuase I think it may have been more a random bag filling, so I would like to try to see what else I can get. All the square cut ones I recieved, omg. I am in love. I have plans for those for sure. I absolutely LOVE the shape. There is one round Citrine that I am crazy about also, thats a dome like shape. *Inserts floating hearts* The Citrines, and there are quite a few, are incredibly pretty. I LOVE them all. There are also darker reddish ones, almost brown that I do like. I do appriciate the variety in sizes. I do plan on purchasing more tonight as I have to put through a few other orders on Amazon.I think if you are curious, buy one set only. I wouldn't go for the 50+ honestly, as there wouldn't be enough there to make a judgement call. Go for 100+ or 200+ and form your opinion.Worth it. Do wish they were a tad cheaper, but that doesn't bother me either.UPDATE: I went ahead and purchased two more orders. I think the Seller saw my review and remembered me because I got pretty much NO teeny tiny stones, NO blue ones, and these are GORGEOUS shapes and stones. I LOVE them. FIVE STARS

You get what you pay for. They're not the best gems, but they're nice. The amount, and size was a bit less than I had hoped, but not less than the amount stated. For anyone not certain what 200 + carats is (as I wasn't), I would call it about a handful and I have fairly average sized hands for an adult male. Comes with a pink mesh pouch to hold them in, which is nice. There are some imperfections visible here and there, and probably more that I could see with magnification if I cared to, but they all look nice. It suits my purposes, since I just wanted some fancy counters to use when gaming.

I needed a real mix of stones and sizes for several projects I have on the go and this mix is perfect. The bulk is amethyst and citrine and those two contain some very nice stones , cuts and some big stones mixed in with the small and tiny. A good selection of peridots, garnets, emerald quartz, aquamarine, tourmaline, as well as 3 trillium cut black/gray stones yet to be examined and 3 rather lovely whitish stones with a ever so slight graygreen tint I am looking forward to discovering.There are about 30 stones of good size (and good mix of types) varying from 5-15mm though mostly around the 8-10mm size range . The rest are small 3mm or less so you get many tiny accent stones.The bulk of the shapes are oval then round , then about the same quantity each of pear, marquis and even a few trillium.None are damaged or look unclean in any way.I am very happy with the mix and think most people will be. Well worth the money, I will be buying another lot as soon as I am able.
