The cord seems to be ok quality visually and I don't want to waste anymore time returning. But the cord is NOT a GE cord its some generic off brand "Intertek" made by "Everdevelop Electric Appliance Co" with the cable marked as "IETLIUS". Two 8agw and two 10awg copper conductors. Its just annoying when you expect a certain brand and they send you something else. The only negative I can see externally is the thongs do not have the circular cutouts like the GE brand has for better internal connection grip when plugged, the cord is made in China, and who knows how the internal plug connections are made. Take a look at the pictures. What you get vs what they advertise for reference. I reported this listings false brand advertising.

I had to replace my original cord when one of my burners would not turn off and I broke a pin pulling the stove out from the wall to unplug it.I was able to replace the cord in minutes.

I bought GE for quality and the didn’t include a stress clamp for range installation. I guess it’s no big thing but Everbilt did.

The cord is what it is advertised to be.Of the 4 conductors, 2 are #8 AWG (40 amp) and the neutral and ground are #10 AWG.The connectors are well made and properly crimped on the wires. The wires are stranded copper. Some cheaper cords have wires that are not fully copper, but only copper-clad.This cord uses the best wires that have 100% copper strands. This is a "kit" that comes with the cord and a connector to attach the cord to the range. This was not a "bait and switch". What I ordered was GE and what I got was GE.Yes, the one photo looks unsafe. But, it wasn't. The circuit breaker was off so I could stage the photo.I use a 4-foot cord instead of a 6-foot cord because when I slide my range in, I have the bottom drawer removed and the cord is not plugged in. After the range is up against the wall I then am able to reach in the drawer opening to plug the cord into the outlet. If you don't have a drawer that can be removed or can't reach in the drawer opening to plug the cord in, then maybe a 6-foot cord is needed so the cord can be plugged in before the range is pushed back against the wall.

Good quality but I should have double checked the amp rating with my contractor. Turns out our local code requires a 50amp power cord. Just thought I'd mention that in case you are considering the product.
