Took 20 minutes to install on my 2019 Tahoe LT. Would have been quicker but it was 104 F and the roof had been baking all afternoon in the sun!I'd read some other reviews that said the screws were too long and would bottom out before tight, and a washer would correct this problem. So I had some 3/8" washers on hand. But I did not need them, it has no slop at all. Came with 8 Torx head screws and an Torx wrench with a built in torque guide - 8 newton meters (70 inch pounds). I tested it against a 65 inch pound torque drive I had and it seemed about right.Included factory directions say it's a two person job, but had no problem by myself - just installed one side loosely, then the other side tight, then went back with the step ladder to do the other side tight. The hardest part was removing the plastic plugs protecting the factory installs to protect the threads on the side rails. I was afraid if I just pried them out, the shaft would break off in the hole. so a combination of slight prying pressure while "unscrewing" and they came out.

These were a lot cheaper than buying from the Chevy dealer on our 2017 Tahoe. They fit easily and can be adjusted for length. The initial install was maybe 30 minutes, and some of that was putting the rear bar on the far rear position and having to move it to the center position. We then added our Yakima Skybox 16 on and drove from MN to CO and back with it (> 2000 miles). These bars worked perfectly. On the next install now that everything is set up, I should be able to get the cross bars and the skybox on in ~10 minutes. My only note coming from a 2007 to a 2017 Tahoe is that this added a few inches of height, but that's just how it is (i.e. no fault of the bars, other than original design). We may be looking at a different box option to knock the height back down.

I initially ordered these from a Cadillac dealership service on line and it was going to take 2 weeks to receive plus they were a bit pricey. Since they would arrive after our ski trip departure and we needed them to attach our Thule to the roof of my 2016 Cadillac, I decided to check elsewhere. So thrilled to have found them on Amazon. They fit perfectly, were super easy to install and worked great. I love the standard 1 - 2 days turn around on Amazon too and the price was great!

The inner bars rattle while driving. They are securely attached to my vehicle, but you can hear rattling from the inner adjustable bars while driving. The tool that came with the product is the wrong tool and doesn't fit to securely tighten the inner adjustable bars (I am assuming this is why you can hear the rattling). This can be installed with one person, but it is easier when you have two people doing it. The bars are sturdy and do not feel cheap at all.

I needed to get cross-members for my 2018 Suburban to carry my tandem kayak. It's a shame that a $70k SUV doesn't come with them automatically, but I think I know why... they definitely add a whistle. The sound isn't really noticeable with the windows up, but when the sunroof is vented or windows open you can hear them (before installation all you heard is the whoosh of wind). The noise level isn't bad, but the sound is irritating after a while. Once something is on them, the whistle noise is replaced by the sound of whatever is being carried.Installation was really easy for me. I have a step ladder to clean the rig, so access was simple. I have basic body panel tools from Harbor Freight that I used to pull the bolt hole plugs (I used a bent pick to start the plugs loose, then the body panel clip removal claw to finish the removal cleanly - tools cost under $5). I used my own torx socket to install the bolts and used the supplied torx tool to approximate the proper torque setting. I did it all myself in under 15 minutes, including reading instructions. The product is sturdy and does not flex under the loads I've put it under. I did notice that one side of the soft plastic/rubber strip that goes across the top of the cross-member was coming up slightly on about 3" of one end. It is the down-wind (rearward) side of the bar so I didn't bother returning it - Way up on the roof virtually no-one will notice it aesthetically and so far it hasn't been an issue.I'm glad I bought OEM and not aftermarket. I like the swept rake look on the profile and they have been very sturdy so far.

Vehicle: 2017 Chevy Tahoe LTRails installed fairly easily as expected. One person job even though the directions mention 2 people. Bars fit in the factory screw holes as described. Biggest installation issue was pulling the factory grommets out of the holes, but that's not a problem with this product. So far have not noticed any increased wind noise from installation either.

Easy to install. Crossbars are adjustable and fit perfectly out of the box with some fine tuning. The area that adjusts has a small bit of double sided foam sticky tape. This is what keeps it from rattling. Instead of using washers to clamp it down use some of that tape if you have it on hand. As a one person install I used a towel bunched up to lay the other end on the roof of the car so as not to scratch the roof when placing the crossbar for the first time. It is holding Yakima Skybox 21 in position 1 fine. Will need to move one crossbar to a more rear-ward position if taking longer loads. Good price and shipping - thanks.Cons - there are multiple places to install the crossbars but moving around to other locations is very involved. They definitely add wind noise. They look wonky and make your ride look more like a family truckster and less awesome.

The product is of good quality, and I say that is because I find it impossible to install because the screws lived in a plastic bag with holes and guess who got lost in the operation. I not really understand how an original GM product like this come with these packaging problems. I hope you can answer me and send me a set of screws to install the product
