Part works. Needed to be programmed by dealership to work properly. Great price! Dealership quoted $550 for part, plus shipping cost. Glad I got it here.

This lift gate control module never worked. Cadillac Dealer could never get it to talk to the computer. PN was correct and it did have power and ground. Dealer replaced wire harness, connectors, everything, just never was able to communicate / synch with the computer. In fact dealer ordered another replacement module from GM and had the same exact problem. Suspect a bad batch from GM.Dealer ordered another module (third replacement) and this time it worked. Unfortunately it took so long to get parts that i am now stuck with this bad module.

So i bought it and installed it, didnt worked until i took it to the GM dealer so they can program it. And they charged me $140 dlls just for the programming.. but i didnt notuce until i got home that every time i opened it and close it it males a weird sound that before didnt do it. That is so disappoiting because its so pricey!

my lift gate went out, and I did the normal thing and "GTS" (Google That Shhh). Few clicks in I have found how to pop open the lift gate and access the module. Another link spoke to the sun roof drains frying the module. Somewhere, either or other, mentioned getting it reprogrammed. I rolled the dice and bought this part via Prime. Just got a call back from dealer and they charged 1 hour labor to reprogram the part and 2 hours to drain the the clogged sun roof drains. They confirmed that the drain lines were the culprit. Tech said that when they normally do the repair, they do the module, the drain lines, motor and pump for around $1800. Looks like I just saved myself around $1200 by purchasing this part and swapping out myself. Seriously took less than 15 mins.

The part is packaged identically to the OEM part. It does not work right out of the box... it MUST BE PROGRAMMED, which can only be accomplished by a GM dealer.Recently the liftgate has exhibited intermittent opening such that it will open partially then close again. At this point I can not attribute this behavior to the control module or the actuator which does appears to be leaking.

This lasted less than one month and when my mechanic got to it to remove it my return time had passed. Now I have to order a new one! It was only installed for 2 weeks and never worked correctly. It said it was brand new??

Worked Great not problems..the Cadilliac moon roof drains are the problem..
