2006 Chevrolet 2500HD with clogged cooler..Symptoms: Code P0894 - component slipping. Hard shift from 1 to 2, sometimes 3rd. In the later stages the transmission will get hot, even give a warning signal in the odometer display..After watching at least a dozen videos it's fairly certain the torque converter is toast, internal pieces from the clutch have likely made their way to the front external cooler. You only have a limited time to correct this or it's going to wind up being a complete rebuild.So we wound up dropping the trans, replace the 63 lb torque converter, front cooler, some new fluid and a month later it runs like new. Much cheaper than the $3,800-$5,000 to rebuild/replace.

The first cooler I ordered was broken when I received it Amazon was very quick to send me a new one the second one was perfect and fit like oem but better would highly recommend as a upgrade

Ordered at 3 PM Saturday. Was delivered by 2 PM the next day . Drove it to work on Monday. There were no upper mounting brackets , like the original. But was still very sturdy.

Ordered for my 04 Tahoe. Quality gym replacement part, was suspicious of the redesign not using an upper bracket like the original but once installed and secured properly with the lower bracket it is nice and sturdy. The bolts from the original upper mounting bracket speed nuts are not long enough to use in the new lower bracket speed nuts so had to make a run to the hardware store for 2 m6-1.0x25 bolts and 2 m6 (1/4) washers. Had seen other reviews saying lower mounting holes don't line up, mine was close to having to ream out one hole a little bit but they both lined up without having to do that. Just put it on today so don't know about longevity but no leaks so far after the test drive. It does come with the cooler line fittings pre-installed with new o-rings inside the fittings as well.

We were unsure this was going to fit our 2003 Tahoe because the photo didn't match our old OEM transmission cooler. It arrived and bolted right in place. Less than 5 minutes for removal and installation of the new one. Apparently it has been redesigned but hooks up the same as the original. Great deal for the price and with prime shipping, I had it 4 days sooner than any dealership or local parts houses could get it. Win, win!!

The transmission oil cooler that came off my Tahoe has the mounting holes at the top, and the plastic inserts are on the bottom, this one the TOP holes doesn't line up with the TOP holes on my bracket, however it will line up and fasten on the bottom where the plastic inserts went. If someone wants to fasten all 4, then you will have to make, or get another bracket, but this one works and fits, other wise would be a 5 star.

I have found AC Delco's parts to be the best option when doing maintenance on my vehicle. When the OEM version is offered, that is my preferred choice, but I've also found the Professional line to also be high quality.This worked great on my GMT800.
