This fit my 2005 Chevy Silverado Duramax just like the factory one.Fairly simple instal just follow the removal of the factory one. YouTube has some helpful videos.

I am on my second one now. First one lasted exactly 2 months then my gear indicator started disappearing and not going into gear or just staying in 3rd. Well Amazon returned my first one and I got a new one, if this one fails I will be very mad. I still have my OEM one that I had changed previous but this was the cause of the failure this time. I will put my OEM back in if this fails and I will probably never have an issue again.Original Review:I replaced my Park Neutral Switch on my 04.5 Duramax LLY as I kept getting the message "shift range inhibited" anyway I was told by a friend that this is what was causing it. This part took me about 15 minutes to change in my snowy driveway on my back without lifting the truck, fit right in! unfortunately this was not the cause for my concern, my ignition switch was bad, but I saved the old one so now I have a spare!

WORKS GREAT - 2004.5 CHEVY DURAMAX W/ LLY ENGINE ALLISON 5 SPD. TRANS.Don't know why this says it won't work. Check your model truck, this is the single connector version.

NSBU switch for my Allison 1000, 2004 Chevy 2500HD 6.6L Duramax, fixed my truck. My orignal one would go crazy and put the truck into limp mode if it got any moisture on it (rain, puddle, snow, etc.). Easily swapped it out a almost a year ago, and haven;t had any problems since. Only complaint is it was the original style, not the new updated one with the extra weather/water protection.
