There are different versions of this relay on Amazon. This one is the flange mount version. For most contactors inside HVAC appliances, you want this one. DIN rail mount is for industrial panels and cabinets (although you could mount a small DIN rail in an appliance).So, a few good things about this one:- 24VAC coil works for most HVAC residential contactors in the US (double check before ordering)- LED is good for diagnostics purposes- 25A coil is good for most applications but make sure it's strong enough for your compressor or whatever you want to switch- Double pole relay: very good for 240V applications as it will cut both hot wires- Easy flange mount, just put 2 screws and your are doneMy concern however, which cost this product one star, is that the UL database does NOT list this product as certified. Maybe it is certified under a different model? The manufacturer should make sure the certification is traceable, otherwise it might as well not be certified. This means this product cannot be 5 stars until the certification is correct. If the manufacturer provides more information to prove it is certified I would gladly revise to 5 stars.

I am using this relay to switch on an overhead electric forced air heater. The heater has a setting to use an external thermostat, but it's line voltage and 240 volts A/C, thus I need this relay to bridge the 24 volts A/C thermostat power. It was sort of a tough search to find this exact relay and it's perfect for my needs. The bonus with this relay is that it has two separate 240 volts A/C circuits that will allow for another heater to run in tandem, while only needing one 24 volt A/C line from a thermostat. When the coil is triggered there is a light click of the relay engaging and a LED light is illuminated to let you know it's working. This is a versatile relay that will allow for many types of electrical switching and automation situations; more than simple heating needs. The unit has a quality fire resistant plastic body and secure screw terminals for proper wire connections. It is a robust build and should function for years.
