Not what I had expected! This fit my generator fine, but is super thin and lightweight. Feels cheaply made. I don’t think it would last in areas with strong winds and heavy rain. Since it is made of thin material, it will not keep the water out from the heavy rains. Sometimes, we have strong winds here and not sure how long it would last before tearing. Overall, it fits fine. Easy to put on. The only function of this cover is just to keep dust off of the generator.

The picture in the listing creates an impression of this cover being semi, if not fully, rigid. Granted, it shows a bag in the image, so maybe it should be obvious that a rigid cover couldn't fit in the bag, and maybe it should be obvious that the rigidness in the image is the one of the two things that is incorrect. I didn't pick up on this fact.The cover installs easily. It's a really thin sheet of fabric sewn together in a manner that let's it straddle a generator. Water puddled up on the top where the cover's shape contorted across every dip on the generator; I trust this confirms it is somewhat waterproof. It is (looks) baggy on my Predator 7k Watt generator. I've had several of these thin covers- none has survived over eight months. Hopefully this cover will be an outlier to that stat. I will update on longevity as it becomes apparent especially if it shocks me and last till next new year. At this point, I cannot recommended it, however.

We live in Florida - hurricanes are a part of our lives. We own a generator which is a must when you have a large family (or your home is the central hurricane hideaway for the family, the mother in law, the pets, etc during the hurricane) With that said, we’ve kept the generator in a safe place keeping it away from outdoor elements while not within our living space. (Always a serious concern due to easy monoxide poisoning! However, we’ve noticed that despite the safe coveted location, rain still can get to it along with moisture & dust, etc. We maintain the machine regularly, keep it clean as is possible in a screen enclosure and cover it with a thick tarp. But it’s not enough. So, I’ve been searching for the right full cover that is fit to the machine without being too loose or tight. There is also the issue of quality of material. It’s surprising now many covers are cheaply made or simply not up to the task. However, seeing this cover & reading the reviews while also balancing the research I decided to purchase it. I have not been disappointed. It’s no longer hurricane season, but it still is rainy & wet. It’s time between where we do the regular checks & replace necessary parts or oil, etc. We like not having the wind blow the tarp off the generator or getting under it & loosing its edges enough to get it wet & messy. This is a valued investment & I will keep recommending it to others who need similar solutions.

The product may work with other generators that don't have a lot of rain but it's too flimsy to work where I live. Cheap quality.

Very thick material, nice and heavy as well. This will replace an older cover that's beginning to leak. Took less than 5 minutes to open from the package and have it wrapped around the Predator Generator, that I use a few times a year. It covers it very well and it super easy to attach with the Velcro and buckles.
