This generator interlock kit is exactly what I needed to let my generator power my home during an outage. The interlock safely allows me to turn on the power without backfeeding it to the grid. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. You do have to work in your electrical panel so if that's not in your skill set I'd recommend calling an electrician. This interlock kit is well built and does what I need. I've got a Seimens 200 amp panel and it lined up great between the main breaker and the top breaker as my input for my generator.

A very nice circuit breaker interlock kit at a reasonable price point. This kit includes the interlock (made of thick aluminum so it won't rust), a drill bit (to ensure that the correct hole size is drilled on the electrical panel cabinet), safety stickers (to help ensure clear documentation) and a visual step by step installation instruction. All though the installation instructions are easily understood, I still highly encourage the use of a licensed electrician. Safety should always be considered the upmost importance.
