I just want to start by saying that you need to be certain that you're buying the kit that is appropriate for your breaker panel. There are wide variations on size and placement of breakers on most brand's panels. This kit, though simple, has everything needed to safely transfer power from mains to generator and back. It is in my opinion the easiest and fastest way to do so. It does require the commitment of drilling holes in the panel cover, so just an FYI. The quality of the parts are all just fine and plenty durable enough for the job.
