It was fairly easy to install and the size was perfect. I was happy to be able to extend the life of my range until barely a year after when the unit stopped working. Turned out the connector prong on the receptacle melted and lost so much surface area that the crimp connector literally decoupled from the unit while I was boiling water one time. This is a safety hazard and a real shame on this otherwise great replacement unit.

Replacement part works fine. It does not come with instructions, but if you match the numbers on the back of the old part to the new part you can connect the wires the right way.

I replaced a large burner on my Kenmore stove with this 9 inch burner. Apparently some of the parts are interchangeable with other well known brands. The burner arrived in excellent condition. I took a picture of my wiring before I disconnected the old burner which is good, because this item came without instructions.. The replacement burner fit exactly in the old space and installation was a breeze. Another big help was the online videos Sears posts on YouTube with step by step instructions for DIYers. When I put everything back together the burner fired up like a champ. It was very rewarding to do this myself and not have to hire a tech or replace the stove. Saved hundreds of dollars.I found the same burner from multiple sites with prices all over the place. Make sure the burner you choose will be the same size as your old burner. Feel free to contact them personally to make sure this will fit your stove.
