I needed this to fix my stove top after a coil overheated and shorted out. Very easy to install. An important tip: Plug the coil into the socket several times before you install the socket. The first couple of times are very difficult to push into the prongs in the socket. It is much easier if you can wiggle both sides as you push them together. After a couple of plug and unplugs, it will work smoothly after it is installed.

These worked great as direct replacements for my Electrolux stove. Couple notes: Make sure you install the brass connector into the housings in the correct orientation (match original). First time you plug the burner into the receptacle there will be quite a bit of resistance until the brass terminals inside the receptacle are seated properly. Plug the burner into black receptacle before you install it on the stove, then remove burner and install receptacle on to stove top.

Fits perfectly and works, but not high quality. It burns out the black connector every few months. Given the convenience, I didn't get time to find high quality alternative for my rental unit.

It may say Electrolux but these are very thin metal and don't grip the ring well, leading to overheating at the connection. They last only about a year if you disconnect frequently for cleaning.

My main burner on my stove has seen its better days. The burner itself has been replaced twice, and I have replaced this plug in here at least 3 times. One thing I don't like with this kit is is uses wire nuts. For someone not good with electric it makes it easy, but for me I just don't like it. I end up soldering the connection and using my own shrink tube for a far more secure connection. The way the wires snap into the plastic plug is not very secure. This is why the plug ends up burning up. It ends up causing a poor connection which causes heat, which eventually fries the plug.
