These are factory seconds. I ordered two and both were defective. Crooked stitching, bad glue job, leather wrinkled and glued to itself…Would rather keep my worn shifter boot than put this on my car. Don’t waste your time and money. Just spend $10 more and go to the dealer.

Was lucky enough to get the exact replacement part. I love my Mustang and thought that because it was a 2006 model I would not be able to get one unless I went to a junkyard. Boy was I surprised.

I was replacing the 13 year old leather boot and shift knob billet. Install was okay, but getting the boot to go into the plastic part just below the ball was a bit of a bear. I actually had to use water soluble lube, still a struggle. But that means it will stay on. the one issue is that they cut it a hair short meaning when I push the shifter into 3rd or 5th gear hard, it pulls the square bottom retainer out of the console. I have the billet adjuster all the way down.Seems well made, good leather (I also treat it to keep it supple), even color and grain.Minus 1/2 star for too short of a cut.3 1/2 stars
