I purchased this for a Sept camping and fishing trip and wanted to sleep in back of my SUV. I test setup the tent in my garage by myself, a 72 year old female....had a little difficulty due to level of garage door opener but was able to get it up....could not attach the car to it again because of garage door opener. Think it will be easier out at camp ground. Could not setup on driveway due to HOA restrictions. Will update after trip in September.

This tent provides the perfect space to relax during the day, change clothes, and for cover during inclement weather. Easily detaches from the SUV for day trips. Provides that extra level of safety from animals while sleeping in the back of my SUV.

I like the size and shape. It's like a little condo.

I'm giving this product only three stars to get your attention. The tent itself is fine and connects well with our Ford Explorer. The instructions were easy to follow but I would strongly advise anyone who buys this to purchase a set of good, long stakes. This tent comes with something I would just call "pins," bent pieces of galvanized steel that you can press into the ground by hand. Not needing to pound them is a good sign they aren't going to hold. We took the tent on a two night camping trip to try it out and had not opened it up first, assuming all the pieces were there. Big mistake. Had I seen the pins I'd have gotten the steel stakes I used with my old dome tent. They constantly popped up out of the ground and the tent probably only stayed up in strong winds the first night because of a combination of the straps attached to the vehicle and the camping gear weighing down the floor. The next day, after a drive, we came back to find the tent flattened from the wind. I've bought tents in the past that came with plastic stakes with a hook on the head that worked OK, until they cracked. There is a good selection of long steel stakes with hooked heads on Amazon and they should be easy to find at sporting goods stores.
