OEM part made in Japan. I found someone put a cheap aftermarket piece on it before. This one took away my tighten fuel cap error instantly.

looking to fix the tighten fuel cap error in your car, this will do it. Worked perfectly for what I needed. This is the part made in Japan. If you have have the made in mexico part, it usually fails around 100k miles.

Just the solution I needed. For the past few months I'd been having the ever annoying check engine light related to codes 0457 and 0497. I could not find too much on these two specific codes happening together on google. Prior to this I had occasionally received the "Tighten Fuel Cap" message on my MIL which would then go away (this is a known problem that this purge solenoid fixes on 06-08 TL's). I replaced the fuel cap, but still had the engine codes. After extensive reviews, it seemed replacing this item might fix the problem but no one said it would for sure, and some on the acurazine forums said it had nothing to do with it. Even an Acura TSB said these codes were not related to the engine codes. However I decided to take a chance and replace this purge solenoid a few days ago. So TODAY, after a few hundred miles, I was SUPER HAPPY to turn on my car and not see the CEL for the first time in several months! Woohoo! Also worth nothing, due to the design of the engine bay on the 06 versus the 07-08, it is even EASIER to replace this purge solenoid. All you have to do is take off the engine cover. You do not have to unscrew the fuse box to make room as there is plenty of room already to get in there to unscrew the two 10mm bolts and unclamp the two hoses. Also, just unplug the electrical connector; you can leave the battery connected. Drive it for several hundred miles and you don't even need to reset the ECU/disconnect the battery. Hope this helps someone.

This was a fit for my 2008 Acura TL (even though Amazon said it was not). My "tighten fuel cap" light has not come on in two weeks, which is a new record. I think this solved my issue.

I had the check gas cap problem on my 2007 Acura TL. The Acura part was $115...this is the same part number so you can save yourself a few dollars. In about 15 minutes my problem was fixed

New part in factory packaging arrived promptly - and Travis provided excellent support to confirm it did fit my car '06 Acura TL (even though Amazon indicated not). Sure enough, it is a perfect match for the original - installed easily, and works great. No complaints whatsoever.
