I purchased a used minivan, and my only complaint was that every time I tried to prop my driver door open, it tried to cut my leg off instead. Thankfully, a check strap was all that was required. Easy to install, easy to use. Now I can open my door and it’ll actually stay open. Yay

Works amazingly well to fix a door that won't stay open. I tried (but failed) to install it without removing the door panel. It was like a 10 minute fix once I removed the door panel.

Ours was shot on our van, I was tired of my legs getting bruised and smashed and thankfully my husband is mechanically minded. This works great, holds the door up like it’s brand new (2011 Honda odyssey with 203k miles 😉)

This is one of the easiest fixes you can do yourself. I paid $26 for it, but it's Original Honda part. I wanted to buy one for my 2007 camry and I was shocked to see that it's $80!!Before installing it my odyssey door would hit my face all the time and now it's stopping like it should!Took me about 30 minutes to do the entire replacement by myself and I'm not a mechanic.

After couple years having the issue woth the door that always closes on me, finally i decided to get this part replace and my door is stating open again now i wont be afraid of the door slaming on my everytime i opened and some wind comes by.

Worked great! Now my door doesn't slam on me all the time! I used a YouTube video by piercedasian for installation instructions. Save for one stubborn bolt, it was a piece of cake.
