I purchased this as a replacement for weather stripping on my 2009 Honda Civic. Unfortunately, the replacement process is rather difficult, even after watching several videos online. It seems that to install the stripping, the windshield assembly needs to be opened. I consider myself fairly experienced with car repair, but this was too much trouble for me, especially considering I have had no leaking problem; the issue is merely cosmetic.As such, I have opted against doing the repair and will eat the cost of this product. Make sure to do the proper research before purchasing this replacement repair item.

If this had been what I needed, it would have been perfect. Unfortunately, they don't seem to seem what I needed but this piece arrived promptly and it was in perfect condition.

The FD2 Civic type R is susceptible to rust on the windscreen edge due to the original windscreen seal becoming hard over time and rubbing through the paintwork. I highly recommend any owners to replace their existing strip with this one to prevent this - it's a lot cheaper than getting rust cut out and paintwork done!Easy to fit:1. Remove existing rubber strip2. Clean up the area to ensure a good seal3. Remove the backing strip on the new seal4. Stick the new seal down.As simple as that!
