Seems to be doing it's job was getting erratic pressure readings and now seems stable at cold idle I am running about 55 psi and warm idle 35 psi. Just a little tip. I used a 27 mm 12 pt. deep well socket ( a 1 1/16 12 pt. socket in deep well will also work) to remove the old one. I ended up breaking the plastic housing on the old pressure switch while removing it. I bought a cheap 27 mm 12 pt. boxed end wrench and cut it in half to use while installing the new switch. It did a nice job of putting the pressure on the head of it and not the plastic body.

Worked fine on my 1999 4.3 S-10. Need a 12pt 27mm or 1 1/16 socket for install. Also need to pull the distributor for access, but that isn't very hard. The plastic had failed on my old one and it was leaking oil.

Glad I went genuine on this one. It wasn't really much more $$ than aftermarket.Used the Lisle specialty socket to remove the old sensor and install this one. Took Glad to know for sure that I do, in fact, have good oil pressure, and that my previous low readings were just from the old sensor.

Working good and it is accurate, had got a new Standard PS230 , It was in for 3 days , at idle was reading 17 psi so I tested it with a manual gauge and was running 37 , got the new GM part and all is good 36 psi AT idle the Standard is junk

Old one was leaking at the top, not easy to get to but with the correct "special socket" doable. I prefer to use OEM in this instance and hope to get another 15 years servive out of it.
