This camping dining set is perfect for camping. The material is thick and will stand up to tough conditions. Well designed to fit together and pack away nicely. The plates double as lids to cover the bowls. Easy to clean and store. The GERBER brand makes quality gear you can always depend on.

We had been using the Coleman plastic plates and bowls for many years and they were showing their age. This set is a great step up not only in the aesthetic but the feel of the plastic. We are a family of three who like to camp out of our Sportsmobile and like most camping setups, space is a premium. These nest well, maybe not as good as the Coleman set because of the mixing bowl but well enough to get the job done. Clean-up has been just as easy as our past set so nothing to complain about there.Overall a really nice set for our van and hope to get as many years out of this Gerber set as we did the Coleman set. If I find out differently and sooner than expected, I'll be sure to update this review.

This is a durable and well-designed set of camping tableware. Gerber is well known for their quality knives and multitools, and camp cookware isn’t an obviously related product line, so it would have been something of a shame if this product had turned out to be the result of mere brand licensure. That doesn’t seem to be the case, though, and at minimum, this tableware set doesn’t diminish the brand. For its intended use while camping, I don’t see how you could do much better. The plastic construction means the pieces won’t shatter if dropped, the polygonal shapes help with nesting, and the bowls and plates have a thicker textured base that prevents them from sliding around. The pieces are marked as food-safe (of course), BPA-free, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe. I’d caution that microwave-safe plastics should still never be exposed to anything particularly hot. Polypropylene in particular will melt starting at around 130°C and leach chemicals into your food significantly below that, so wait for food to cool down below, say, 80°C before transferring it onto the plates or bowls.I partially agree with some other reviewers who mentioned that cups would have been a good addition. But the bowls can be used for liquids in a pinch, and there’s not that much space left in the bowls (where any cups would need to fit) once everything is nested. If you really need cups, it looks like four small teacups (perhaps 5 oz at most) would just about work, but you’ll have to find the right ones yourself. At the time of review (late May 2024), I couldn’t find this tableware set by itself on Gerber’s website, and It’s also showing as “Currently Unavailable” on Amazon. However, I was able to find a much more expensive “ComplEAT Cook Set” on the website that includes all the pieces here in addition to a metal pot and pan with lids and a carrying case. I’m assuming the website will be updated and more stock will be made available for purchase eventually. If those assumptions turned out to be right and this tableware set is available when you’re reading this review, I can strongly recommend it.

I really like the color scheme of this bowl and plate set; the earthy tones go well with most camping gear and they’re not obnoxiously bright thankfully. I’ve been using a GSI table set for a couple years now and it’s been excellent, however I recently decided to get another set and thought I’d check out the Gerber offering. The mixing bowl is a somewhat odd inclusion in the tableware set, although it is cool how the plate is used as the lid. I suppose it may prove useful at some point in the future, but I was more intertested in he plates and bowls, which are both quite nice being molded very well and made from thick plastic that so far has resisted scratching. It’s would’ve rather had a set of cups than the mixing bowl and think it’s a bit of a miss that everything doesn’t nest together but on the other hand I quite like the plates and bowls. I’m a little mixed on how I feel about the set as a whole; everything is high quality as I’d expect from Gerber, but the mixing bowl is a bit odd in practice and the omission of cups is strange.

This set is really sturdy. I used it steadily for 2 weeks through several state and national parks, and the design just blew me away. Everything came in handy, the bowls are large and deep; the big bowl is nice for washing things in, and the plates are nice and substantial. They pack up really nicely as well. I don't know how good these would be for backpacking, I've only used them for car-camping and some hike-in camping.

This is a great little set! These are too heavy for backpacking, but work great for camping. The items seem solid and are easy to store and clean. No complaints, except for the weight. But no stars deducted, as the manufacturer doesn’t claim them to be lightweight.

These are great dishes for camping, RV, or apartment living! The large bowl is perfect for washing the plates and bowls. The plates and bowls are angled a bit on the edges to stack easily. The tabs on the bowls are wonderful to hold on to. I also like the measurement markings on the inside - works in a pinch if you don't have a measuring cup for rice. The plates are going to get scratched if you use utensils - they are plastic. However, I still expect them to last a long time. The best part is everything stacks together so neatly...really good design here. Great job, Gerber Gear!
