I was really excited to purchase this nugget countertop ice machine because it looks fantastic and produces lovely ice when it's working. The ice it makes is perfect for my drinks, and I appreciate the quality of the output. However, I encountered a significant issue with the machine going into defrost mode daily. The only way to get it out of that mode was to unplug it, which was both inconvenient and frustrating. I even reached out to customer service, and after a 20-minute troubleshooting call, they recommended unplugging it as well. It’s disappointing that there’s no better solution for this recurring problem.Additionally, the return process is quite cumbersome. It’s stated that it will take 30-45 days for a refund after the return is received, and we had to supply the original box. Who keeps boxes these days? It seems unrealistic for a product with such issues.Overall, while the ice quality is excellent, the frequent defrosting and return process leave much to be desired. I hope the manufacturer can address these problems in future models.

I was extremely disappointed in this product. It did not work from the first plug in. Would not pump water into the top reservoir. We tried to get it working, but to no avail. Had to send it back without getting one bit of ice.

First one went out right away a year. This new one they seemed to have made some changes. purchased the warranty with it as well again just in case! 😉

When it worked it was nice.Pros: awesome clear nugget ice that was great to eat.Cons: died within a month due to damage from manufacturer and/or shipping. The unit kept saying it was needing to run a cleaning cycle (even though we run sub 12TDS Reverse Osmosis water to it) and then one night stopped making ice.I got curious and opened the top and looked inside and found the compressor’s refrigerant coil fins all smashed up. I don’t know if it’s capable of flexing that much on the inside while shipping but my suggestion to the manufacturer is this - if shipping is that much of a concern then you need to make these enclosures tough as nails so they don’t flex in transit. (Assuming this happened in transit and not during manufacturing)I’m just assuming considering the outside feels like thin aluminum / sheet metal the heavy components inside (compressor) caused it to flex during rough shipping conditions to press against the fins on the coil. (which if you work AC or anything involving heatsink/coils the fins are paper thin and can bend or break easily)You ask a lot for these machines (and say they are quiet - like the model I bought - when they are NOT) for them to only have a couple weeks to maybe one year of life span if your lucky.Spend more money on the structural design and make these things more ruggedized. With that being said I urge anyone about to drop some money on this kind of product to look to cheaper alternatives that won’t cause a headache when they fail.

The worst service call ever. I just bought this ice maker, waited 4 hours (by direction), tried for the first time and it shows that there's not enough water even though it's almost at full. The issue here is my service call with GAVI. The lady on the call asked me to take a video and send it to them because they didn't trust me. I just bought this thing, plugged at in, and now you are asking me to document my experience to you? She continues to tell me that it's not like they don't trust me. She explained that this might be due to pump failure.. IF that is the case, why are you making me go through all these things in order to get an replacement? This company is garbage. When you sell an item that is broken out of the box, understand that the customer will be concerned about the quality of your product. This is going to be return and Never going to touch this company again. STAY AWAY FROM them.

New machine made a small batch of ice once and never again made ice. Just kept blinking that it needed water but it was leaking the water out of the back of the machine and never registered that the reservoir was full of water.

We’ve owned this ice maker twice-first one broke within 6 months and they kindly sent us a new one. Now the new one less that six months later broke again! Now the company is claiming it’s “out of warranty” bc they are basing it off of original purchase date-even though it’s not the same machine.Issues: extremely LOUD noises. Quiet at first then several weeks in will make noises. Won’t make ice at all even after months of perfect use, water filled up, trouble shooting followed by company still won’t work.

Took the ice machine out of the box. Followed all instructions for set up. Machine kept running, water light flashing to be refilled, yet the water line remained the same- full. Did not work at all (assuming it’s the pump). Sending back. For a something of this cost (almost $500) it’s hard to believe the quality was so poor.
