Perfect fit, does not need the frame extension to fit in early "A" body cars. Tons of clearance for my Hooker Super-Comps. Beware tho, if your body mounts are worn this may touch the floor. It doesnt make any noise but I can feel the motor rumble in the floor. You will need a 2- or 3- hole trans mount. Car feels sturdier in turns and shifting got a little tighter because of reduced flexing in the crossmember. Would buy again!

I have a 78 Monte Carlo with a factory 4 speed, after my engine swap and finally finding a pair of headers that would fit, I bolted this cross member in with ease! dual exhaust passes right through as expected, plenty of clearance
