Mechanism

Functioning Mechanism

Can be used in a School Science project to illustrate Faraday's law, Ohm's law etc. The image describes how the rotational motion of magnet is used to create alternating magnetic flux through the circuit, thus inducing current in the circuit. This explains the Faraday's Law in practical which states " when the magnetic flux linking a circuit changes, an electromotive force is induced in the circuit proportional to the rate of change of the flux linkage"

Gear

Metallic Body and Gear

Anodized aluminium body to give a robust housing to coil and magnet, Nickel Plated Iron gears with rounded corners to minimize wear of tire and gear itself, thus providing long life to dynamo with minimal losses in energy conversion.

Clamping

Clamping Dynamo and Terminals

The package includes a Nickel plated iron clamping device. The units can be installed/clamped to bicycle as illustrated in the image, Please grip the clamp firmly to cycle body as it is needed for grounding the dynamo. For connecting the wires as shown in image, live terminal is beneath the dynamo and the dynamo body or the clamp acts as negative/ground terminal. The connecting wires have thimble for securing them to terminals.

Wires with Thimble

The package includes two connecting wires meant for connecting the negative and positive terminal of dynamo, the open end of connecting wire has thimble linked to it to avoid loose connection. After mounting the dynamo to cycle frame the thimble can be secured to live terminal of dynamo, thus providing current to circuit. The other (bigger) thimble is secured to the negative terminal.

So far so good this worked out very well for putting a led light on my snow blower it didn't have a charging system on it so with a little welding to make brackets to mount generator so the wheel would ride against the main drive belt and it worked out very well so far
