Sleeping bag for your legs. Best static layer and when wind or temps push below 15 these shine. I see these as a survival MUST in cold environments.

The color is fine considering winter is when this will be worn..originally I wanted the usmc set but super expensive..this does exactly the same thing for less than half the price..light, comfortable, fits very well with or without layers, zippers are a nice study quality, no pockets, does have loops for suspenders..would most definitely purchase from seller again hopefully I can find the matching top now..Great item for survival, bugout or hunting kits..

Just got the pants today for wearing under my hunting clothes for deer season. They are well made but need to be taking in a very little ,but besides that they are awesome. Haven't used them yet. Got them for really cold deer hunting season. I think they will keep me real warm. Well rate them after deer season this year.

These are great! Keep in mind these are made for a system of layering. The ECWCS Gen III system has 7 layers. These are the top layer 7 so they need to be loose to fit over thick long underwear, normal set of pants and a second set of weatherproof pants. So they’re cut to fit loosely over 1-2 layers of thermal underwear and 2 pair of pants. The sizing of the system is based on this so if you wear size Large pants, you want size Large in these. If you wear Large but want to wear these over a single layer instead of 4 you probably want size Medium (or maybe Small?)Keep this in mind when you’re choosing sizesWater resistant with tougher reinforcement material sewn over knees and butt. Extremely lightweight. Very puffy and warm.

Packed these in on a hike today in 25 degree weather. Put them in the backpack for the time when I made it to my destination. I had planned to use them for a rest and lunch at that spot. Made a cup of tea and ate Top Ramen. Sat around in these and felt nice and warm. I bought a matching jacket a while ago and went ahead with this purchase because the top worked so well. The color blends in in snowy environments and the thick, warm material made be feel like I was sitting next to a nice camp fire. Toasty I must say. So glad I now have these in my inventory. These will definitely be in my kit when fishing during the winter.Just an update: I used to use this winter to go fishing in 20° weather. I wouldn’t want to hike in these very far because they are so cumbersome and warm, but they’re great for sitting around camp and staying warm in freezing weather.

I love these pants! I purchased for a winter survival course in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. They are a great value, and built with durability in mind. They are quite bulky and heavy compared to a synthetic insulated pant from a mountaineering company. However they are stout by comparison and very affordable. I intend to abuse them this winter and I expect them to hold up well given the materials and construction, but if I’m wrong I’m not out $200 and I’ll just patch them as necessary!

This gear is the difference between being uncomfortably cold and toasty warm. great stuff. If you are wearing it and moving around a lot it is actually too warm. Easy to put on or take off. Very light and compacts down reasonably well when not in use. If I were a millionaire I would get a pair for every homeless person trying to survive this winter by the side of the road.
