Terrible design too many nuts and bolts tons of room for error and very stiff when it’s first arrives. upon further inspection the barrings and the hinge at the heel of the pedal becomes stiff as well as the direct drive part it’s self. Returning immediately!!!

Works really good, nice and fast, but it's got a goofy design, like if you want to adjust the pedal height to the maximum position; you can't because the lug is underneath the direct drive and the drumkey won't fit; it SHOULD be on the outside to adjust any height you want. If its too low, the pedal will click the pedal base. This pedal also comes with plastic parts (nuts & saddles) which I swapped out for metal parts. I also lithium greased up the rotary joints for smooth action. Overall this pedal took quite a bit of modification & tune-ups to be brought up to a standard playability. If I had to make this choice again, I would probably go with a dw3000 or Iron Cobra, something that has been around and proven worthy. Whatever you choice may be, keep on rocking!

Magnífico, se siente bastante ligero al momento de tocar, sin embargo en construcción es bastante rígido, robusto y resistente, excelente calidad.

As a beginner drummer, I purchased these double bass pedals because they appeared to be a good name brand and there was a great sale that convinced me to replace the basic single pedal that came with my kit. I'm not sure if it's the pedals or me, but I'm really fast with these things. Amazing how easy they are to control. The quality seems to be extremely good. I look closely at higher priced pedals and honestly don't see a difference. I do however see a difference with these compared to low end pedals. I'm sticking with these.

At first the bearings seemed a little sluggish but just play on this thing and eventually it will naturally loosen up (I think) I love my pedal now and have allot of fun playing using this pedal with my band!

This pedal cannot be beat for the quality at this price point and even higher.Everyone has preferences to design and how a pedal feels. If you prefer lighter build pedals, this one is not for you. It is a very heavy duty build. As far as feel is concerned, it is extremely customizable. Light to heavy footed players will be able to dial this pedal into the feel they prefer. I have very specific needs with pedals due to corrective surgeries for a club foot (the foot does not move the same as a normal foot). With this in mind, many pedals do not work for my needs. This pedal however, was very easy for me to dial in.My only very minimal complaint is that when the pedal was received, the rubber pads were not aligned property with the bottom of the pedals. This was a quick and simple fix. Remove very slowly to retain the adhesive layer and reattach with correct alignment.

Having previously owned Pearl Demon Drives for the last 5 years, I know my pedals. The Demon Drives were smooth as silk, but moved around way too much for my liking. The Gibraltars at a much lower price are performing just as well for me and they are very sturdy and heavy.Perfect for my studio with wood floors - no matter how hard I pound out double bass beats, these things don't move on me.

For what this costs, it should be better, more stable. Within 6-8 weeks of getting this pedal, the mounting clamp has failed. I'm having to stop every 5 minutes to reposition the pedal, because it slides around while I'm playing. Thisstarted happening outside of the return window...I contacted Gibraltar directly, 3 times, with NO RESPONSE. I won't be buying Gibraltar pedals again. EVER. Sad, because I've got copious Gibraltar hardware that works great. Now, I'm nervous about Gibraltar's customer service.

I have owned a number of double pedals over the past 30+ years (Camco, DW, Tama Iron Cobra, etc). This pedal is not up to the quality of those (or $$$), but it is a good basic pedal. I think it will hold up to "standard" double bass playing. I do not know how it would hold up under heavy playing though, as it is not super heavy duty and a single chain model. The foot boards do not have much texture, so if you play in socks, it might get a bit slippery. The beaters are decent, and there are a good amount of adjustments that can be made to the pedals. I would not call this the fastest pedal on the market, but it will more than get the job done for most drummers. Gibraltar makes good quality products, so I am confident this pedal will last me for quite a while.

Absolutely love this pedal. Its quick, it has lots of settings (could have an angle setting) and it looks epic! The only reason I have marked it down is that one of the beater tops popped off when I was playing it (third time I played it). I have glued it back on and its fine now. Its a bit of a design floor to be honest as the magnets that you can add to each beater to give the beaters more weight and therefore sound and attack are magnetised to the underside of the plate in the top of the beater. The sheer weight of the magnets and force from your foot pushes the magnets upwards into the top of the pedal causing the top plate to pop off. Hopefully the superglue I used will hold it in from now on. It may not actually happen on every pedal but its something to be aware of. Other than that it really is a superb semi-professional/professional pedal.

I got this as an upgrade to a 6711-DB, and my only regret is that I wasted time trying to go cheap. Everything about this pedal makes for a better experience compared to its less expensive cousin. This unit is solid, smooth, and it feels like it's built to be thrashed mercilessly for years. It is simple and easy to fine tune the many adjustments, and I love how it responds to a delicate touch or a vigorous stomp with fluid grace. This thing is awesome!
